Saleem Malik: “If not match-fixing, why should I confess?

Former Pakistan cricket captain Saleem Malik says there is no question of confessing when he did not fix the match.
Speaking to reporters via video link on Tuesday, Saleem Malik said that the videos released by him were an attempt to give the impression that he had apologized for his involvement in match-fixing. According to him, this impression is completely wrong. It may be recalled that former captain of Pakistan cricket team Saleem Malik has appealed to return to cricket through videos released to the media twice in a week. In his second video, he also apologized to the fans and assured the International Cricket Council and the Pakistan Cricket Board of his unconditional support.
When Saleem Malik was told that the condition for the return of a cricketer convicted of fixing was that he first confess his guilt under the ICC Code of Conduct and then his rehabilitation program would begin, on which Saleem Malik said that the court has cleared him. The court ordered his life ban lifted in 20238.
He said the Pakistan Cricket Board had been using delaying tactics in his return and “now it has talked about the transcript received from the ICC.”
Saleem Malik asked if the ICC had given a transcript to the Pakistan Cricket Board, why did it not present the draft in court?
Saleem Malik said that he was not given any such transcript by the Pakistan Cricket Board but if he was given any such draft, he would definitely be ready to appear before the ICC or the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The International Cricket Council had given a 25-page transcript to the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2013 which was actually a conversation between Saleem Malik and a suspicious person in England and was recorded through a sting operation in the same manner as the punishment for spot-fixing. The winner was Mazhar Majeed.
Saleem Malik says it was a great achievement for him that the court cleared him and lifted the ban for life, after which the Pakistan Cricket Board had to release his withheld provident fund.
Criticizing Justice Malik Mohammad Qayyum’s report, Saleem Malik said that those who talk about the report should read it carefully as the recommendations made in it about the players were not implemented and they All the cricketers returned to cricket in one form or another and only they were abused and targeted.

Saleem Malik says that there has been no behind-the-scenes motivation in the series of statements he has made in the media over the last few days and no one has given him any indication. According to him, what Inzamam-ul-Haq and Thaqleen Mushtaq said while adopting a positive attitude towards him, re-energized them as they had lost heart after fighting their case for 19 years and they want justice to be done to them. ۔
