The Karachi Board of Secondary Education has the authority to conduct 9th class exams and 10th class exams in the Karachi area. All public schools and most private schools in Karachi are affiliated with BSEK, while thousands of regular and private Karachi students participate in the annual tuition class exams each year that are conducted by BSEK.
